Chateau Lane Winery is located in the southeastern corner of the Napa Valley, nestled in the foothills of the Vacas Range, just 10 minutes outside of historic Napa town. The Chateau Lane property cosists of 25 acres and has 12 acres of premier vineyard planted to several famous clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, first planted in 1996. Here is were high-demand, luxury, award winning wines have been (and are currently being) produced.
Another 10 acres here is home to the historic Rapp Ranch Equestrian Center. Built by 'Jerry' Rapp in 1982, this property was once one of the finest Quarter horse breeding facilities in all of Northern California. The Rapps bed and participated in the highly competitive world of cutting horses. Phil Rapp is the all-time leading money award winner in his field with an all-time earning record of $5.8 million dollars. The center provides guided trail rides, the ultimate perspective to view our vineyards and our beautiful wine Estate.
Located in the eastern hills of Napa Valley, the Coombsville appellation comprises extremely distinctive traits making it one of the most unique and refined sub appellations of Napa Valley. A truly identifiable Terrior as it is part of a volcanic caldera, cradled by the foothills of the Vacas Mountain Range and a micro climate of moderate weather created from the nearby San Pablo Bay. Having just received its AVA designation in 2011, Coombsville is poised to be acknowledged as the next great Napa Valley sub-appellation.
